NERR Jr Prospect Academy Preview #4

July 7th, 2012

Noah Gray makes things happen in the front-court

After a strong showing last week at the u13 AAU Nationals down in Memphis in which they earned victories over teams from Texas and Florida, the Mass Elite 2017 Squad next weekend will send to Prospect Academy a talented contingent led by the quartet of Michael DeMartinis, Noah Gray, Ryan Veguilla and D.J. Frechette.  Here's what Mass Elite Basketball National Program Director Eric Polli had to say about the quartet...

Michael Demartinis – ”This kid is a standout. During the Winter, Mike competes in the Middlesex Travel League – competing for his Burlington Travel Team that last season went a combined 30-5 in both league and non- league play.  His greatest strengths are his ability to handle the ball exceptionally well for a big man and his high basketball IQ. Mike sees the floor very well and is an exceptional passer for a big man, often finishing teammates in transition on the open floor. Mike attacks the rim very well and is very good at drawing contact and getting to the FT line."

Noah Gray – “Big, strong and athletic player who has a lot of upside. Noah is freakishly strong physically and has exceptional quickness and explosiveness. A good offensive rebounder, Noah also runs the floor well and has good handles for a forward. Noah’s game also features a decent outside jump shot."

Ryan Veguilla - “Ryan is a crafty combo guard that attacks the basket just as well as he can shoot it from the outside. Ryan sees the floor very well and is excellent at finding teammates on the open floor. A participant on his MASCO town travel team, Ryan last season was the top scorer in the Cape Ann Travel League."

D.J. Frechette – "D.J. is a knock down outside shooter with a strong motor and good length. D.J. jumps well and figures to develop into a very effective combo guard. D.J. was a standout player for his Nashua travel team which was coached by his Assistant AAU Coach and father Danny Frechette."
